Distinguished Lecture Program
The Distinguished Lecture Program, launched in 2011, aims to introduce and motivate scientists and students located in under-represented regions of the world to emerging research areas in geochemistry. The program currently focuses on Eastern and Central Europe.
The distinguished lecturer is selected each year based on a combination of outstanding research contributions to geochemistry and the ability to clearly communicate these contributions to a broad audience.
The EAG-GS Outreach Program was initiated in 2013 in partnership with the Geochemical Society, with the directive of developing outreach activities in geochemistry in under-represented regions of the world. This initiative focused on Africa in 2013 and will develop in other locations.
