New! EAG Reactions Webinars

EAG Reactions is a new initiative, involving a series of online webinars coupled with engaging discussions. EAG Reactions serve as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange. Each session will last about 1 hour, with presentations by experts followed by ‘round table’ discussions. EAG Reactions are open to all, and registration is free!

Academics working on carbon dioxide removal (CDR) projects

To address the pressing challenge of global warming and its associated impacts, numerous scientists are collaborating with carbon dioxide removal (CDR) companies to curb CO2 emissions. In this Reactions, Rebecca Tyne (Isometric) and Noah Planavasky (Professor at Yale; senior contributing scientist at Environmental Defense Fund and Cascade Climate) will lead discussions on sharing their experience working on CDR projects from an academic perspective.

EAG Early Career Science Ambassador Program Next deadline: 1 March

This program provides funding to Early Career Scientists based in Europe who wish to attend conferences outside Europe, and to Early Career Scientists in any country who plan to attend a fully virtual or hybrid conference remotely. Supported scientists attending a conference in person will have 50% of their expenses covered by EAG, up to 1500 Euros.

Students based in Africa: Apply to attend the Summer School ‘Assessment of Tropical Forest and Soil Resources’

The EAG is proud to support student attendance at the Summer School 'Assessment of Tropical Forest and Soil Resources', taking place in Fort Portal, Uganda, on 19-24 August 2024.

Through a series of hands-on workshops, participants will get familiar with state-of-the-art tools and approaches for assessing land use change effects on plant-soil systems in tropical regions.
