Goldschmidt Grants Program

grantsThe Goldschmidt Conference Grants Program provides support to early career scientists from low-income countries to attend the conference. Information is provided on the conference website and the application deadline is usually the same as the abstract submission deadline however this may vary from one conference to another.

As part of the Goldschmidt Conference Grants Program, a limited number of travel assistance grants and waived registration fees are available for delegates who meet these criteria:

  • Students: must be enrolled, at the time of the conference, in a graduate program related to geochemistry. Students who graduate before the start of the Goldschmidt Conference they apply to are not eligible.
  • Early career scientists: must be working in a field related to geochemistry and have graduated at the earliest 10 years before the year of the conference.
  • Must reside in a country classified as low-income or lower-middle-income economies by the World Bank.
  • Must fulfill all application requirements listed on the conference website. This usually includes conference abstract, completed online application form, contact information for a referee (who will receive an email from the conference to submit a letter of reference), CV in PDF format (maximum of 2 pages) and budget plan (estimate of travel, accommodation, meals, and registration/abstract fees).
